FAQs
What should my child wear?
Girls need to wear a gymnastics leotard or biketard. Spandex shorts or leggings may be worn over top. Boys should wear shorts, sweatpants and a T-shirt or any form of athletic clothing.
No jeans, skirts, dresses, or clothing with snaps, buttons and/or zippers should be worn.
Clothing that is overly loose and baggy can make it more difficult for the instructors to spot your child.
Long hair must be pulled back in a ponytail or braid. Avoid anything that is hard on the head such as bows or clips. Bare feet are required and no jewelry should be worn.
What does my child need for class?
All that is needed for class is a water bottle!
What happens if I miss a class?
At STARZ Gymnastics, we have a student teacher ratio of 8:1 or smaller. We think that it is important that classes are small and as consistent as possible. This way the coaches can give each student an appropriate amount of individual attention and keep track of their weekly progress. Please do your best to be at each scheduled class, as make-ups make teaching consistency and student/teacher rapport difficult. Having said this, we do understand that sometimes there are circumstances that cause you to miss your scheduled class. This is why we allow preschool and recreational students to do 1 make up class per month.
Make up classes must be scheduled after the class is missed and within four weeks of your absence. After the class is missed, speak to the desk, either in person, over the phone, or by email to select a class in which to do the make-up. We will make sure that the class has room and is age and level-appropriate. You MUST schedule your make-up class in advance.
If you schedule a make-up class and miss it without calling to cancel, that is still considered your make-up class. Make ups are not allowed for holidays when we are closed. These closures are built in to our regular yearly class calendar. All make-up lessons are forfeited when you drop from our program.
Classes have already started. Can I still enroll?
Yes, we have rolling enrollment and students can sign up at any point within the session. Students are placed appropriately by age and level at the time of registration. If you start a class mid-month, the tuition will be prorated as needed.
